MAYOR'S MESSAGEIf you haven't been by Beach Park recently, I would suggest you take a trip there and see the improvements that are now finished. I would like to thank Pascagoula Pride for their hard work in conceptualizing and financing the work. Beach Park has always been a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The improvements have made the park more welcoming, giving us a beautiful venue to host events and for families to enjoy. I was delighted to present the hard-working members of Pascagoula Pride a key to the city at the start of the Free Flowin' Fest at Beach Park. Pride has been one of the city's most important partners over the years. We are so grateful for their generous donation to Beach Park and for their continued support of our community.

CITY EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHTDetective Justin Cagle is the epitome of a hero. On March 16, Detective Cagle was driving home from work and witnessed a single vehicle accident that occurred in between the bridges on Highway 90. The truck hit a light pole, slid, then flipped and hit a tree. Detective Cagle rushed to the scene and saw the driver’s arm had been severed. He quickly responded to this medical emergency by using a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, which ultimately saved the driver’s life. You can watch WLOX's feature on Detective Cagle here. We were pleased to give Detective Cagle a life saving award during our April 20 meeting and are extremely #PascagoulaProud of this first responder!
