Pascagoula, Miss., July 17, 2017 – The City of Pascagoula’s Hospital Road Improvements Project, Phase I is scheduled to begin this month. The first road closure will be at the intersection of Hospital Road and Old Mobile Highway beginning Tuesday, July 18 through Tuesday, September 12.
Phase 1 will include the replacement of underground utilities along with roadway and pedestrian improvements along Hospital Road between Old Mobile Highway and Tupelo Avenue. This phase will last for approximately (8) months.
This project was awarded to J.E. Talley as the contractor and Brown, Mitchell & Alexander, Inc. as the engineering firm. The total project cost is approximately $3,250,000.
Phase 2 will be improvement to Hospital Road from Tupelo Avenue to U.S. 90. The second phases is expected to begin in 2018.
