Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The City of Pascagoula is taking the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously and is following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The following information is to help protect the health and welfare of the general public. The City is encouraging everyone to voluntarily follow these guidelines and to practice social distancing. The City of Pascagoula is committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information to help keep residents in the know as our community joins with the rest of the state, nation, and world to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This page will be updated as new information becomes available.

Face masks required in City of Pascagoula buildings 

In an effort to keep employees and the public safe, face masks will now be required inside all City of Pascagoula buildings. If a person is not wearing a face mask, he/she will not be allowed to enter the building.

Executive Order impacting Jackson County residentsGovernor executive order breakdown

Governor Tate Reeves issued Executive Order 1509 in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in counties that are seeing an increase in cases. The Executive Order applies to Jackson County. The order states that face coverings must be worn while shopping and attending public gatherings. Indoor gatherings are limited to 10 people. Outdoor gatherings are limited to 20 people. The Executive Order will remain in effect until August 3, 2020.
